High-Tech Tourism In Russia

Interactive Russia is proud to announce the launch of the Benefon/WellCare GPS Tourist Navigation and Emergency Service System. From February 2003 all In Russia tourists will, upon arrival, receive the cellular telephone by Benefon possessing all the latest SMS and GPS technology.
The phone will make traveling in Russia easier and safer. It features a palm-sized map of Moscow that shows the tourist where he/she is located in and calculates the best route between two locations. Additionally, the phone boasts emergency buttons that connect the client directly to both the central Interactive Russia office in Moscow and a Well Care Emergency Operator, both of whom will see on a digital map the exact location of the tourist and be able to send immediate emergency help. The phone will also automatically launch into voice activation mode, allowing the tourist to communicate with rescue services through a speaker-like interface. Thus, by simply pressing the button, our clients will have informed us who they are, where they are, and what sort of assistance they require.

provide its clients with the assistance they need in Russia,” said Matthew Goldstein, Managing Director for In Russia.
The following medical services provided by WellCare will be extended to all In Russia clients carrying the phone: - emergency medical aid (carried out by modern ambulances equipped with the best medical equipment; ambulance teams consist of highly professional doctors) - helicopter evacuation in case of traffic problems - medical consultations and assistance.
Prior to trip personal medical profile will be put on file for use in emergency situations.
This innovative tourist service is introduced by Interactive Russia in partnership with Wellcare Medical Services, a Western company specializing in providing high-quality medical assistance in Moscow 24 hours a day.

The price for this service is $30 a day. This includes the rent of the phone, medical insurance in Moscow, and all emergency services.
Additionally for $40 a week we provide our clients with phone services with roaming in Russia. This can be expanded with the long distance calling package (an equivalent of over 300 minutes when calling US or Canada) availaible for $50.
